Throughout the year, the Mount Olive Public Library presents numerous programs for community members, including members of Netcong Borough. A list of upcoming events are listed below!

The Mount Olive Public Library is hosting a newly formed Quilter’s Club, with the first meeting being held at the library on Tuesday, January 21, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.  Whether you are an experienced quilter or want to learn how to quilt, come join us to either refresh your skills or learn new ones.  

Hand piecing and quilting will be taught.  Mother/Daughter team Ruth Wilson and Jennifer Wilson-Siegel  

have a combined 30 years of quilting experience and look forward to

sharing their skills with you!  Please bring the following supplies:

  1. 2 fat quarters of fabric (one light, one dark)
  2. Needle
  3. Thread (neutral color)
  4. Straight pins
  5. Scissors
  6. Ruler
  7. Pencil


The Mount Olive Public Library will host a workshop titled, “Investing 101 – Putting Your Financial Goals Within Reach” on

Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 6:30 p.m.  During this FREE and informative workshop, financial advisor Doug Sheroff will

discuss avenues that are available to you for investing your money.  Topics to be covered include:

  1. The basics of stocks, bonds and mutual funds and how they work.
  2. Basic financial terminology
  3. Common myths within the financial industry
  4. Investment vehicles such as income, retirement and education savings.

There will also be a Q&A session so bring any and all of your questions!  Snacks and drinks provided.
