Please remember the following:
- Please make sure that all vehicles are removed from the street to allow for salting and snow removal by the DPW. Failure to remove a vehicle is a violation of Chapter 268-9 Winter Parking and vehicle owners will be ticketed.
- Snow and ice must be removed from sidewalks, edge to edge, within 24 hours of the storm. Sidewalks are to be cleared in such a manner so as to leave any access to a crosswalk adjacent to the sidewalk also clear and fully accessible. Failure to clear sidewalks is a violation of Chapter 247-3 of the Borough Code.
- Do not plow or place snow on a sidewalk or in the roadway. This is a violation of Chapter 247-6 of the Borough Code.
- If there is a fire hydrant in front of you home, please dig it out! You are helping our volunteer Fire Department save your home, your neighbors homes and possibly your life!
