Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this finds you safe and well and that you and your families are enjoying the summer months. I know there are many questions and concerns regarding our school reopening this coming fall. A plan is presently being developed with a team of over 40 stakeholders representing district administrators, staff members, Board of Education members, parents, students, and local community representatives including staff members of the Mount Olive Department of Health. The goal of our committee is to ensure a safe reopening for students, staff, and families as the health and safety of everyone is paramount.
The district’s reopening plan will be discussed at a special meeting of the Netcong Board of Education on Monday, July 27, 2020 at 7:00pm via Zoom. The proposed plan will be available for review on the Netcong School District’s website by Saturday, July 25, 2020.
Information on how to attend the meeting will be posted on the Netcong School District’s website. It is important to note that the Netcong School District’s plan is fluid and can change based on state, local, and national trends, updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Health, the New Jersey Department of Education, and/or the Governor’s office.
