Important Message: Information About Your Drinking Water

Our water system is no longer in violation of drinking water standards.

We routinely monitor for the presence of drinking water contaminants. On June 14, 2022, we recieved notice that the sample collected on November 17, 2021 showed our system exceeded the standard, or maximum contaminant level for 1,2,3-Tri-chloropropane (TCP).

After following all State guidelines, the Borough water system has satisfied all requirements of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and all follow-up sampled have showed undetectable readings for 1,2,3-TCP.

Upcoming and Ongoing Roadway Improvements

Allen Terrace

Beginning on October 24, the Borough of Netcong will begin improvements to Allen Terrace.

The project will begin with the replacement of the main water distribution pipe, as well as all of the Borough-owned service lines on Allen Terrace. Construction, to begin October 31, is expected to take about 1 week for the water main, and an additional 1-2 weeks for the water service lines. Once complete the company doing the work will fill and pave the trench where the water-main work was completed.

After a six month settlement period, the company will return to Allen Terrace and perform a full mill and pave of the road. This is projected to happen in late spring 2023.
