Economic Development

The Economic Development Commitee is made up of the Mayor and two Council Members and the Borough Administrator that meets on an as-needed basis. The commitee hears proposals on development and redevelopment projects and seeks to promote the development of economic grown within the Borough.

Route 183 Paving 10/28

The Borough has been informed of the following tentative traffic plan regarding Route 183 Paving for Tuesday, October 28, 2025: No work is to take place in Netcong. In Stanhope: New Jersey State Police will be on site. Route 183 Northbound traffic will free-flow to Brooklyn Road. Route 183 Northbound will be fully closed at the intersection, following the same procedure as on October 27. Access to Route 183 Southbound via Route 206 will again be closed, using the same setup as on October 27. Southbound Brooklyn Road traffic will be permitted to flow to Route 183 Southbound until a later point in the shift. At that time, Southbound Brooklyn Road traffic will be detoured via McKinley Street to Linden Avenue, with right-turn-only access onto Route 183 Northbound. Please use caution when traveling in the area, follow posted detours, and allow extra time for travel.
