Important Message: Information About Your Drinking Water

Our water system is no longer in violation of drinking water standards.

We routinely monitor for the presence of drinking water contaminants. On June 14, 2022, we recieved notice that the sample collected on November 17, 2021 showed our system exceeded the standard, or maximum contaminant level for 1,2,3-Tri-chloropropane (TCP).

After following all State guidelines, the Borough water system has satisfied all requirements of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and all follow-up sampled have showed undetectable readings for 1,2,3-TCP.

Food Bank

The Netcong food bank is open every week on Tuesdays 9:00 AM – 12 NOON and Thursday 10:00 AM – 12 NOON in front of town hall at 23 Maple Avenue, Netcong, NJ 07857. We do not ask for identification and provide assistance to Netcong and the surrounding municipalities.

Our food bank is accepting contributions of perishable and non-perishable food items. We CANNOT accept items that are past their expiration date, or open packages. We can only accept perishable food items when the food bank is open.

ALSO, the young lady who collects coupons and purchases shampoo, toothpaste and other personal items for our food bank has resumed her services and has requested we resume collecting coupons. Coupons can be dropped off at Borough Hall, with a volunteer during our hours of operation or in the gray dropoff box in front of the police station.
